All week there have been rehearsals for the May 9 parades. The ground troops/equipment rehearsed one evening earlier this week. You can see good shots of that here.
Then it was time to get some serious mood-altering done. Skittles helped me make these:
I used a recipe from this book. A wonderful gorgeous friend sent me this when we lived in Argentina. It is a great sampler of classic American dishes. The kind Mom used to make.
Take that Dr. Atkins! Chocolate is a vegetable, you know.
